Potenix, a Makian Dam Pars product, is a completely natural and unique feed additive consisting of glucose oxidase enzyme and Bacillus subtilis probiotic, which helps to improve the digestive function. Glucose oxidase is a small and stable enzyme that oxidizes glucose and produces hydrogen peroxide and gluconic acid. This enzyme is a suitable alternative to growth-promoting antibiotics due to its bacteriostatic and disinfectant function, growth stimulation, regulation and improvement of the immune and digestive system, having minimal and non-toxic residue and no possibility of resistance against it.
Mechanism of action:
Glucose oxidase (GOD) is an aerobic dehydrogenase enzyme that oxidizes beta-D-glucose by consuming molecular oxygen and produces gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide. Gluconic acid, which is one of the key products of this reaction, improves growth performance in animals. On the other hand, gluconic acid reduces the pH of the intestinal environment and prevents the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Hydrogen peroxide, with its strong antimicrobial properties, selectively destroys pathogenic bacteria such as salmonella and E. coli, but does not harm the beneficial bacterial flora of the intestine, which are capable of producing the hydrogen peroxidase enzyme. Glucose oxidase also plays a role in reducing oxidative stress and damage, and by eliminating free radicals, it maintains health and improves growth. Simultaneously with the eliminating of pathogenic bacteria, the probiotic bacteria Bacillus subtilis is replaced in a very high number in the intestinal flora and by competition and elimination of pathogenic bacteria, it regulates and improves the microbial flora. The increase of beneficial bacteria in the digestive system, in addition to enhancing the immune system and improving the defensive barrier of the digestive system, increases digestion and absorption and reduces the feed conversion ratio, thereby effectively improves growth and production performance.
