In order to overcome the demands of modern poultry production, reaching an optimized balanced diet is a must. Finished feed mostly lack in protein, energy and sufficient amounts of trace elements or vitamins. Though minerals and vitamins comprise a relatively small part of a complete nutrition, they rather play a crucial role in bird’s health, performance, growth, fertility and immunity. Also, the bioavailability of certain nutrients like phytate is to be considered.
It is needless to mention that nutritional requirements of poultry are dynamic and vary considerably between species, breeds, different age groups and even production and performance levels. That’s why it is imperative to add a complete and scientifically balanced premix to poultry’s diet to meet the sufficient levels of nutrients and prevent malnourishment.
