Ammonia is naturally produced as a nitrogenous waste product by protein metabolism and is excreted mainly on the surface of the gills and a small extent in the urine. Ammonia is a toxic compound for aquatic animals and causes negative effects on their health. Low amounts of ammonia causes a reduction in spawning, reduction in growth and pathological changes in the liver, kidney and gills. Ammonia toxicity is acutely due to its major effect on the central nervous system, and its symptoms include ataxia, increased irritability, tachypnea and increased cardiac output, and in severe cases, it causes seizure and death. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the level of ammonia in the living environment of aquatic animals in order to prevent the complications caused by it.
Mechanism of action:
The formulation of the herbal compounds in Anti Ammonium Extra is very precise and based on the active ingredients found in plants. One of these active ingredients is Allicin. Allicin is a useful substance with broad antimicrobial properties. Allicin is a natural antibiotic and is very useful for fighting bacterial and viral infections by stimulating immune cells and increasing the production of white blood cells.
