Respiratory diseases are common among horses worldwide. Although they’re not usually fatal, they are an important cause of waste in the horse industry. Mechanism of action:
Immuno Echinamol contains natural extracts of plants such as Echinacea purpurea and Thymus vulgaris and is formulated in a way that its different components strengthen each other’s therapeutic effects. Echinacea plant has antibacterial, antiseptic, antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects. Echinacea enhances the immune system and is very effective in improving influenza and bronchitis. This plant stimulates specific cell-dependent immunity and improves immune activity by increasing the function of T lymphocytes, phagocytes, leukocytes and increasing the synthesis of interferons. Also, the extract of this plant prevents the influenza virus from entering the cell and causing infection and its spread by inhibiting the binding of the virus to its receptor. Echinacea plant has a significant antioxidant effect and studies have shown that it can cause more production of blood cells and thereby protect and preserve weak and fragile hoof.
Thymus vulgaris has antioxidant, antiseptic, antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, antipyretic and anti-congestion effects. The active compounds in this plant are mucolytic and facilitate the exit of the secretions. In addition, the extract of this plant is expectorant and is very effective in improving spasm, bronchitis, inflammation of the respiratory tract and cough. Thymol and Carvacrol present in thyme stimulate the movement of the upper respiratory cilia and dilute phlegm and help to expel it from the respiratory tract, clear the nose, trachea and bronchi, cause breathing comfort, increase pulmonary capacity and cause faster recovery of the animal. Thyme leads to better performance of the horse’s respiratory system and can be effective in conditions where the horse is kept in cold weather or dusty environment. Also, the antioxidant properties of the active compounds of this plant improve the viability of horse sperms.
